WOMEN'S BUSINESS NETWORKING GROUPS:
 

American Business Women's Association (ABWA): Goal is to bring together businesswomen of diverse occupations and to provide opportunities for them to help themselves and others grow personally and professionally through leadership, education, networking support, and national recognition. There are several ABWA chapters in the valley:

  • Business and Professional Women: BPW/USA is the leading advocate for millions of working women in areas of economic and workplace equity and work-life balance since 1919.   • Entrepreneurial Mothers Association (EMA), West Valley Chapter. EMA is a professional network through which entrepreneurial mothers can meet with peers to share information, trade support, use one another's services, and offer encouragement to other mothers considering entering entrepreneurial endeavors.   • eWomen Network: seeks to connect and promote women and their businesses on both a local and global scale. eWomen helps women succeed, achieve, and prosper through access and exposure for building their enterprise, fast tracking their career, providing convenient access to resources, and by providing relevant and informative networking programs.   • Impact for Enterprising Women: Impact is a nonprofit, educational networking organization and local affiliate of National Association for Female Executives (NAFE). Impact holds a regular lunch meeting the last Friday of the month at the Phoenix City Grille in central Phoenix.   • National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO): assists women in achieving success by uniting in common goals, promoting leadership, developing entrepreneurial skills and business acumen, and advocating and influencing public policy affecting women in business.   • Northwest Women's Network: objective is to establish an effective referral system through the exchange of leads and networking information; to encourage referrals to community businesses, and to promote standards of professionalism and integrity.   • West Valley Business Connection: is a networking group consisting of a variety of businesses in the growing southwest valley; however, business owners from anywhere in the valley are welcome.   • Women of Scottsdale: offers monthly opportunities to network and grow in the unique setting of an elegant luncheon reception. Business and professional women, community leaders, women in government or education and retired women are welcome to create a deep and long-lasting community of mutual support.   • Women-Owned Business Chamber of Commerce (WOB) seeks to promote women-owned businesses by "BRANDing" through the use of its logo and other activities. WOB promotes "business with a social conscious" and exists for the higher purpose of a common good. WOB is directing positive change by uniting the power in women. Arizona Small Business Association (ASBA) is a statewide group of small business owners organized together in a not-for-profit Arizona Corporation. ASBA's mission is to provide benefits to its membership; provide a forum for networking; and increase knowledge through informative workshops, seminars, and classroom training, among other things. Women Business Builders (WBB) meetings are held monthly in the large meeting room of the Glendale Public Library, 5959 W. Brown St on the second Saturday from 2-3:30 pm. The group was started in the fall of 1995 at Glendale Public Library as a complement to the library's free informational programs for people wanting to start or grow a small business.
